Mission:The operation of the museum as part of the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) supports CMOST's mission to "instill a sense of wonder and discovery in young minds, inspiring a lifelong exploration of science and technology," and is complementary to CNSE's mission to provide pioneering nanotechnology education and prepare New York's future workforce with a comprehensive education of the highest quality.

Take I-90 to Exit 8 (DeFreestville). At the second signal light turn left onto Route 4. Travel on Route 4 approximately 1½ miles to the Rensselaer Technology Park entrance. Turn left into the Rensselaer Technology Park onto Jordan Road. Follow Jordan Road to the third driveway on the left (Museum sign at entrance). Turn left and drive towards the rear of the building and park closest to the third set of doors (green & blue railings).
From Saratoga and Points North:
Take Interstate 87 (Northway) south to Exit 1E (I-90 East). Take I-90 East to Exit 8 (DeFreestville). Follow the directions from Interstate-90 direction above.
From Boston and Points East:
Take Mass Turnpike West (Interstate 90) to Exit B-1 (Albany continuation of I-90) to Exit 8 (DeFreestville) on I-90. Follow the directions from Interstate-90 direction above.
From Buffalo and Points West:
Traveling Interstate 90 East to Exit 24 (Albany). After toll booth proceed East on Interstate 90 approximately 8 miles to Exit 8 (DeFreestville) on I-90. Follow the directions from Interstate-90 direction above.
From NYC and Points South:
Take Interstate 87 (New York State Thruway) to Exit 23 (Albany).After toll booth, 787 north to I-90 east (Boston). Take Exit 8 (DeFreestville).
