Dome Shows:
$1.00 per person for each show. Free for Family Explorer members and above.


All children must be accompanied by a supervising adult while visiting CNSE CMOST, and all adults must be accompanied by a child.

Sensory Play: Leaves
Join us in to the GE Junior Discovery room for a hands-on sensory science activity designed for younger children.  Each week we explore something new at this drop-in program. Pre-registration is not required, and is included with museum admission. Recommended for children 2 – 6 years of age.

Saturday, April 26
7:00 PM – 9:00 AM
Animal Adventures Camp In
Join CNSE CMOST staff for a walk on the wild side in this animal adventure.  Participants will learn about habitats, animal kingdoms and more in this exciting exploration! This camp-in satisfies some requirements for the following badges Girl Scouts – Bugs, Senses, Animal Habitats, and Cub Scouts – Naturalist Belt Loop. Click here for more information.  Pre-registration is required.

Eco-Explorers: Egg Container Gardens
Join us to become an eco explorer! We will use our recycling skills to create container gardens in old egg cartons that you can take home!  Recommended for children 4+.  Pre-registration is required.  Free for CNSE CMOST members.  $2.00 for non-members.

The CNSE CMOST summer science camp line-up is here! With our hands-on camps, CNSE CMOST offers children ages 5 to 14 an opportunity to be junior scientists for the summer. My Parent & Me Pre-school Classes

Wednesday and Saturday classes beginning in May!
9:30 – 10:30 AM
A five-week session for preschoolers that provides parents and children, ages 2 to 4, the opportunity to discover the wonders of science in an exciting and stimulating environment. Pre-registration is required.

New Exhibits at CNSE CMOST

Magnetic Ball Wall
Discover your inner physicist at CNSE CMOST’s Magnetic Ball Wall! Construct a path that twists and turns or create a direct route and see how long it takes for the ball to travel from the beginning to the end. Learn about kinetic and potential energy, momentum and the force of gravity as you explore and experiment with the Magnetic Ball Wall.

Skyline Tool Box
Design, build, test, and engineer 3D structures with CNSE CMOST’s Skyline Tool Box.  This new exhibit, designed by Chicago Children’s Museum, provides a design-it-yourself experience with real hardware, tools, and materials that allow you to create imaginative, original structures that are big enough to walk inside. Visit the Skyline Tool Box exhibit and see what you can construct!

Eat Well, Play Well

What is in the food we eat? Are fruits and vegetables really important? Can everyday activities burn calories? Find the answers to these questions and more by exploring the worlds of nutrition and fitness in Eat Well, Play Well, a new, bilingual (English/Spanish), hands-on exhibit which examines healthy living strategies. Visit this highly interactive exhibit to discover how you can make healthy living fun!
